Authorship and contributorship

Authorship and author’s contribution

The Journal of Economic Sustainability and Business Practices adheres to the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the principles of the Council of Science Editors (CSE). The Journal supports the principles of publishing ethics, where trust is a fundamental component in scientific communications. Authors must present their own original ideas and results in the articles.

Authors are strongly discouraged from submitting the same article to multiple journals simultaneously and should avoid using other researchers’ ideas in research preparation. Using reviewer feedback to improve an article for submission to another journal is inappropriate. Authors should also carefully assess potential conflicts of interest and confirm their absence before submission. This commitment reflects the journal’s commitment to complying with the ethical rules of publication and preserving the integrity of scientific work.

When submitting an article to the Journal, authors must confirm the following:

  • The manuscript has not been previously published or submitted to another scientific publication.
  • All authors contributed significantly to the work and approved the final version of the manuscript.
  • Work complies with ethical standards.
  • All authors are responsible for all aspects of the manuscript, addressing any questions about its accuracy or integrity through appropriate investigations and resolutions. They have obtained all necessary permissions to publish figures or tables and guarantee coverage of Article Processing Charges (APC) where applicable.
  • Ensuring the originality of this text is a priority.

Author contributions

Determining the author’s contribution is an important aspect of publishing an article, especially for scientific papers. The collaboration includes conceptualisation, design, data collection, analysis and interpretation, writing and revision, review and editing, and provision of funding and resources. All persons or institutions involved in the research should be duly acknowledged in the article.

Author roles are defined by the corresponding author at the time of article submission. Given the diverse nature and complexity of research, the roles of participants may vary, and authors may have different roles in different articles. Some authors may play multiple roles when researching and developing an article. Authors are responsible for confirming and acknowledging their assigned roles. The specific contributions of each author should be detailed in the Author Contributions section of the manuscript.

The author’s contribution can be indicated as shown in the following example:

conceptualization, X.X. and Y.Y.; methodology, X.X.; software, X.X.; validation, X.X., Y.Y. and Z.Z.; formal analysis, X.X.; investigation, X.X.; resources, X.X.; data curation, X.X.; writing-original draft preparation, X.X.; writing-review and editing, X.X.; visualization, X.X.; supervision, X.X.; project administration, X.X.; funding acquisition, Y.Y
